Ryan Valley is the Principal Consultant and founder of Pink Bull Rodeo. The son of a technical writer, Ryan grew up around technology and digital design, and has been crafting digital experiences from a young age. He formally started his communications career in graphic design and social media marketing in 2014 building websites and campaigns for local organizations. This grew into a successful consulting and design firm while Ryan completed formal training in communications, design, and educational technology at University of Calgary, SAIT, and a Master’s at University of British Columbia.

After co-founding and building Hot Neon, an interactive animation and learning design agency, from the ground up from 2018 to 2025 and serving as the Country Manager for the Interaction Design Foundation, Ryan completed his MBA in Technology Leadership at York University’s Schulich School of Business and left to start Pink Bull Rodeo: a communications and design practice that’s both creative and flexible, leveraging strategy, design, and implementation skills to deliver outsized business value to his clients.

Pink Bull works on a few select projects each year which align with our expertise and areas of specialization:

  • Content Design: Motion Graphics, Video, and Visual Storytelling

  • Change Design: Digital Education, Performance Consulting, and Behaviour Change

  • Strategy and World Building: Branding, Communications, and Experience Design

Pink Bull works with scrappy teams of intrapreneurs, mavericks with big ideas, rebel brands, and social innovators to make life better - through work, health, and relationships.
